Valued Employees, Customers and Suppliers, this is an unprecedented time around the world with the uncertainty of COVID-19.
Houston has issued a “Stay Home, Work Safe” order which will be in effect until Friday, April 30. This order applies to most businesses except for federal critical infrastructure sectors and essential business services, allowing critical infrastructure operations to remain open. As an essential business and critical supplier to the government, Atec Companies will remain open for business. We are a Defense Contractor for the USAF and our USAF/USN repair service contracts and RL10 contracts are DPAS Priority Rated. The Atec team continues to practice safe distance and safety procedures recommended by the CDC to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We are monitoring the situation daily.
We are taking every precaution to comply with all the recommended guidance from local and national authorities, while still providing the same safe and reliable products and services that you always expect from us.
Open for Business-Employees are working normal business hours to maintain business operation and progress on our contracts. They have been provided with a letter and have been told to keep their ID badges getting to/from work. Many office workers have been approved for work at home during this health crisis.
Workplace Precautions:
- Increased facility cleaning disinfection cycles
- Shortened meeting times and 8-foot distancing
- Heightened Travel Review
- Reconfiguring production and workspace areas to provide social distancing
- Hand washing, hand sanitizers & all other health department recommendations for personal hygiene
- Requiring sick employees to say home, until symptoms are gone
Customers- We have implemented our business continuity plan which examines all areas of business operations at all corporate and project sites. We are taking daily actions to ensure continued service to our customers. Rest assured, we are prepared to serve you.
Suppliers-We have alerted our suppliers to stay open to support us on our contracts. We have shared the DOD memo from the Under Secretary of Defense, which confirms that performance of Department of Defense (DoD) contracts is “critical essential infrastructure”. Our obligation under DPAS remains to prioritize rated orders as needed to execute by the contractual delivery date.
Visitors- We have continued use of our questionnaire that visitors must complete and sign upon arrival to any Atec facility. If a visitor is a perceivable risk to our employees, they will not be allowed to enter the facility.
We want you to know you have our commitment to continue providing you with the products and services our Nation and Allies depend on for Aerospace Readiness support. For more than 67 years, Atec has focused on our “Plan to Win” motto in fulfillment of our Readiness Mission around the world. This is our promise today as we closely monitor, assess and respond to this current world situation. Our companies are managing the impact to-date and we are continually monitoring for any disruptions. We want to thank you for your support as we all work together to keep our employees healthy, our customers served, and our businesses and operations running smoothly.
