Atec received a Multi-Award Contract for the FRCs, Fleet Readiness Centers, on May 28, 2019. The Equipment Procurement & Sustainment contract was Congressionally approved and is a Multi-Award Contract for Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity. This new EPaS award is our second USN IDIQ effort coming on the heels of our assumption of the NAVSUP Weapons Systems Support—JETI, SETI, TPTI IDIQ 2 years ago. This large government contract provides sustainment equipment procured under 14 functional areas in support of the FRCs. Atec was awarded in 2 of the 14 functional areas and will be supporting the Ancillary Support Equipment and Test Equipment Support section needs for the next 5 years.
The Commander Fleet Readiness Center (COMFRC) oversees four major depot level maintenance centers that Atec will be supporting:
- FRCSE-Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, FL
- FRCE-Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, NC
- FRCSW-Naval Air Station, North Island, CA
- FRCASE-Aviation Support Equipment-Solomons Island, MD
The depot level maintenance centers repair and overhaul aircraft, engines and components. To support the FRC’s operations, the awarded companies will upgrade, repair, replace and maintain equipment. Sustainment efforts will be made to support fleet aircraft schedules and to obtain solutions to obsolescence issues. For the MAC IDIQ, Atec will deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions to support the COMFRC by increasing productivity and resolving challenges across multiple locations. “This contract greatly expands our Navy business and puts the company in a good position to serve the Navy and Marine Corps for many years. The team at Atec has done an exceptional job serving our armed forces with our past and present contracts, and I have no doubt the team will perform to Navy and Marine Corps standards for EPAS,” says Chris Buttry, Contract Administration Manager.
We look forward to providing equipment and sustainment efforts for the FRCs in support of the U.S. Navy!
