Our team here at Atec were very proud this morning to be a part of the successful launch of the Orion Space Capsule on the Delta IV Heavy. Our RL-10 Rocket Engine Cryogenic Liquid Hydrogen and Liquid Oxygen Fuel Control Valves (5 valves in all) are an integral part of the RL-10 Engine on the Centaur Upper Stage which boosted the Orion Capsule to orbit this morning.
The valves were manufactured by Atec in the mid to early 2000′s and our team was excited to see the RL10 perform flawlessly. Thanks to everyone that worked hard to make this mission a success.
